ABOUT JANE

What’s Jane Doing was conceived by Jane Hoyt, after returning home to MN after a year and a half in Paris. She studied international finance at a small school nestled in the 10th arrondissment, but fell in love with regressive, seasonal food inspired by Scandinavian and French cuisine. Completely self-taught and led by taste, Jane set to scale her skills by cooking everything under the sun in her tiny Parisian flat. Utilizing the freshest in-season ingredients, she began to experiment with different flavors from all around France, greater Europe, and the Middle East. Eventually, she was able to curate her own style of food — ‘déstiné à partager,’ or, meant to share.  

As soon as she finished her undergraduate studies, she came home and got to work! A summer spent working in a commercial kitchen and an LLC later, What’s Jane Doing was born. What started as a clever way of keeping her family back in MN up to date on her culinary ventures slowly evolved into a unique dining experience centered around gathering, no matter the occasion. 

Today, What’s Jane Doing offers made-to-order curated menus inspired by whatever is in season, as well as personalized catering experiences, happy hour snacks, and office lunch.
